wide screen rules the world

i finally appreciate the usefulness of getting a 19 inch wide screen monitor! initially i was so skeptical of getting a wide screen cos my eyes keep hacing to dart around to read stuff. but i just realised tt ALL the US shows are now in HD format and wide screen!! so nice to watch shows on my shiny new monitor now~

haha this may seem like a ramble but i just had to get it off my chest. :)

life after ord!

haha. a BIT late for a post titled this, but the feeling has just began to set in. perhaps took a bit longer cos i was so so SO busy right after ORD until now. with both the uk and thailand trips cleared (and soon the genting trip with my buddy alex), i'm finally really to put my life (in singapore) back together. yays~

it's such a dilemma when one part of me wants to relax and take things slow, wanting to do things like watch US drama, go shopping, go kbox, take afternoon naps, read bitchy literature (i LOVE chic lit), stay up late and chiong seasons of shows etc. etc. but another part of me tells me that i need to make better use of my time! a friend even asked me (with all due respect) if i intended to work. although i don't really have intentions to look for a temporary job just for the sake of learning something (i can learn something from doing anything right?); i do feel a little little guilt by still receiving a very sizable allowance from my parents every month.

but my current stand is that since if i decide to (a bigger possibility as the days go by) switch to a business+law degree i'm going to need every exemption and early credits that i can lay my hands on.. so that will translate to having to start (summer) school early. so even if i wanted to find a job i can only work for 2 months after CNY and that's all (rather pointless right?) after all, this period of time is supposedly reserved for me to enjoy the "school holidays after my A levels which i missed because of enlistment" (i always mention this phrase in my defense on questions of not looking for work)

anyway SMU's sent me an invitation to go for a tea session this saturday! the email sort of mentioned there's going to be *ahem* a written test (hmm whatever for? it's going to cause unnecessary stress in some people wor..) so they they can get better acquainted with us. hopefully it's not going to be something very difficult! hopefully i still can pen a coherent piece of work given the lack of inking exercise for 2 years.. i've been told my handwriting can charm examiners to give higher marks than what i deserve. this test may just be to my advantage since everyone has to write :)

well, hope it goes well on saturday! i've set my eyes to make deans list no matter what! as another SMU student puts it, "no matter what they say about CCAs, GPA matters".
